The Glenville Stops in Allston Has Closed

A restaurant and bar in Allston known in part for its small plates and beer/wine options has shut down permanently.

A message sent from Nathan Allen indicates that The Glenville Stops has closed for good, with Allen (who was the Executive Chef there) saying that Sunday was its last day in business. The Glenville Avenue spot first opened in the spring of 2014, offering a mix of Asian and Mediterranean comfort food including such items as carrot soup, oysters, charred octopus, wild mushroom ravioli, gnocchi with duck confit, pan-seared salmon, and baklava.

The sibling restaurant of The Glenville Stops--Il Capriccio in Waltham--remains in operation.

The address for the now-closed Glenville Stops was 87 Glenville Avenue, Allston, MA, 02134.
