According to WBZ and the Boston Business Journal, Morton's Steakhouse will soon have another location in Boston. The new Morton's will be in the World Trade Center over by the Seaport District in South Boston.
The new Morton's probably won't be open until sometime in early 2008.
Currently, Morton's has a restaurant in the Back Bay, as well as a number of other locations across the United States.

Bubbling Brook in Westwood is NOT Closing
Just to shed some light onto a false rumor about Bubbling Brook closing down and being replaced by a Dunkin' Donuts. It is NOT happening. In fact, Bubbling Brook opened up for the season last Friday, and is now serving food and ice cream once again.
Not sure how the rumor started, but enough people believed it that a petition was started in one of the local schools to keep Bubbling Brook open. Well, there is no need for that petition, as Bubbling Brook is still around, which is fortunate to ice cream lovers (and lovers of good cheap eats) who live southwest of Boston.

TWO More New Reviews: Monte's in Lynn and Bostone Pizza in the Back Bay
The two latest reviews on the Boston's Hidden Restaurants site are Monte's Restaurant in Lynn, and Bostone Pizza in the Back Bay of Boston.Monte's and Bostone Pizza are very different from each other, but both have excellent pizza, and neither one is well-known. If you like old-school restaurants that serve pizza, Monte's might be worth a look; if you want good cheap eats right on Newbury Street, Bostone Pizza is tough to beat.

Todd English to Open a Burger Joint in Boston
According to the Boston Herald, it looks like Todd English may be opening a burger joint in the Financial District of Boston. The restaurant, which might end up being called Oliver's (which happens to be the name of one of his children), and will likely feature gourmet burgers as well as other comfort items, including milkshakes.
It looks like Oliver's will be located somewhere in or near Post Office Square, which has lots of foot traffic on weekdays, though relatively little traffic at night and on weekend.
The restaurant will probably open sometime in the fall of 2007, according to the Herald.

Latest Review: Pasta Lina's Restaurant, Medford
The latest review that is on the Boston's Hidden Restaurants site is Pasta Lina's Restaurant, which is on Route 60 in Medford (near the Malden border). A Burger That Competes With O'Sullivan's and Mr. Bartley's
Maybe I was just extra hungry last night, or perhaps it was the appetite-inducing walk through Jamaica Plain beforehand, but last night I had a burger that nearly knocked me off my feet (in a good way!). The place? Zon's, on Perkins Street in JP.
Zon's is a funky, quirky dining spot that wouldn't be out of place in Greenwich Village or Haight-Ashbury, and is certainly a restaurant that just feels "right" in Jamaica Plain, being that it is one of Boston's most offbeat neighborhoods. The food there is terrific, but the burger that I had there last night particularly impressed me. It was a big meatball of a burger, placed (along with a piece of cheddar cheese) in a big onion roll. The burger had a decent amount of pepper and some other seasonings in it and it was basically a big, juicy, piece of heaven--as big as it was, I could have had two, I think.
I have been to O'Sullivan's in Somerville countless times, and Mr. Bartley's Burger Cottage in Cambridge a number of times, too, and to me, these are the two burger joints that set the bar for all the others in the Boston area. Does Zon's come close? I would say so. But because of the size and shape of the burger at Zon's, perhaps it should be compared more closely to O'Sullivan's. And in my opinion, O'Sullivan's does get the nod, but not by much. And if you include the fries in this comparison, it may be a dead heat, since Zon's has delicious hand-cut fries that are browned and salted just right, while O'Sullivan's has those rather nasty potato wedges that have little flavor.
It is all a matter of opinion when it comes to burgers (or any kind of food, for that matter), and the bottom line is, you can't go wrong with O'Sullivan's, Mr. Bartley's, or Zon's when it comes to grabbing a burger that will put a smile on your face. As for Zon's, I know I'll be back soon--I just wish it were a little closer to where I live.
