Paul Wahlberg (and Possibly His Brothers) to Open Gradi in Hingham

Last year we reported that the person behind an upscale restaurant and a burger spot on the South Shore was going to be opening an upscale pizzeria near the two eateries. The pizza restaurant is still coming, though a name change has apparently taken place.

Based on a Facebook post from Wahlburgers in Hingham, Gradi is going to be opening in the Hingham Shipyard sometime this summer, with Paul Wahlberg (and possibly his brothers Mark and Donnie--we are still trying to confirm) being behind the place. The gourmet pizzeria was originally supposed to have been called Pizzeria Diciannove, but that name seems to have been shelved. Gradi will feature Neapolitan pizzas cooked in brick ovens, with house-made toppings added to the pies, and our earlier article on the spot mentioned that the eatery might only be serving full pizzas (no slices). It also looks like the restaurant will be serving small plates as well, and it may have beer, wine, and liquor available.

Chef and restaurateur Paul Wahlberg is the brother of Mark and Donnie Wahlberg, who are known for their work in the music and movie industries. The three brothers own Wahlburgers and Alma Nove, both of which are in the Hingham Shipyard.

The address for this upcoming pizza restaurant in the Hingham Shipyard will be: Gradi, 9 Shipyard Drive, Hingham, MA, 02043.
