Dante in Cambridge to Host the Unknown Calzone Dethrone, November 18, 2012

An East Cambridge restaurant that has been the site of sausage, chili, and ravioli competitions is going to be hosting another cook-off, with this one focusing on an item that can be found in sub shops and pizza joints across the area.

BostonChefs.com mentions that Dante on Edwin H Land Boulevard will host the "Unknown Calzone Dethrone" on Sunday, November 18 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, with a number of chefs competing to come up with the best meat, poultry, seafood or veggie-filled calzone. The event, which will be held on the restaurant's riverside patio, will include Jamie Bissonnette (Coppa, Toro), Anthony Caturano (Prezza), Evan Deluty (Stella), Colin Lynch (Menton), Dan Raia (Sweet Cheeks), Jason Santos (Blue Inc.), Josh Ziskin (La Morra), and several others.

Tickets to the Unknown Calzone Dethrone cost $20 each. Please note that this event will be held rain or shine.
