Ginger Exchange Is Moving into the Former Betty's Wok and Noodle Space in Boston

A few months ago we reported that an eclectic Boston restaurant that was featured Asian/Latino fusion cuisine had shut down, though at the time, it was unknown whether the place would reopen at some point. Now we have learned that not only is the place gone for good, but an Asian dining spot in Cambridge is going to be opening a new location in the space.

Eater Boston is reporting that the Ginger Exchange is planning to move into the Huntington Street swhere Betty's Wok and Noodle used to be. Once it opens, the new eatery will be the second Ginger Exchange in the Boston area, with the original being on Cambridge Street in Cambridge's Inman Square. (A second article from EB also mentions that plans for another Ginger Exchange in the nearby Brigham Circle/Mission Hill section of Boston have been shelved.) It looks like the new Ginger Exchange could be open by December or January.

[June 20, 2013 update: A Twitter post from @ConciergeBoston indicates that the new Ginger Exchange on Huntington Avenue is now open.]

The Ginger Exchange focuses mainly on Japanese fare, including sushi, rice dishes, and noodle dishes. The place first opened in Cambridge in the fall of 2009.

The address for this new restaurant in Boston is: Ginger Exchange, 250 Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA, 02115. The website for the Ginger Exchange is at http://gingerexchange.com/cambridge/
