Boston Hospitality and Tourism Industry Blog is reporting that UBurger will be going before the Boston Licensing Board tomorrow (Wednesday December 5) to seek a common victualler license to open at North Street by Faneuil Hall where Red Sky had been until closing this summer. If all goes as planned, the new burger spot will join others on Beacon Street in Kenmore Square, Tremont Street near Boston Common, Commonwealth Avenue at Boston University, and at the Northeastern University campus.
[February 7, 2013 update: A follower on the hiddenboston Twitter page mentions that the new UBurger by Faneuil Hall is now open. (This has been confirmed by Eater Boston, indicating that it is apparently a soft opening for now.)]
[February 12, 2013 update: Mills PR tells us that the soft opening period for the new UBurger in Faneuil Hall is now over, and the restaurant is now officially open.]
[February 27, 2013 update: A Twitter post from UBurger mentions that the grand opening for the new Faneuil Hall location is today from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with a fashion show, trivia, and free cheeseburgers and fries all being part of the opening.]
Expect the new UBurger to feature such items as burgers, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, salads, fries, onions rings, and frappes.
