Pita Downtown to Apparently Open in Boston's Financial District

Last week we reported that a Mexican restaurant near South Station had closed its doors. Now it appears that the folks behind a couple of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern spots may be opening a third location in the space.

A message sent to the hiddenboston Twitter page today mentioned that a Pita sign is up where Andale had been until recently closing. A check on the LevelUp site indicates that the new spot may indeed be connected with South End Pita and Mass. Ave. Pita, with the upcoming place on Summer Street apparently being called Pita Downtown.

Our sister site (Boston's Hidden Restaurants) has featured the original south end location of the dining spot, which can be found at the link below:

Expect the new Pita to feature such items as hummus, falafel, stuffed grape leaves, and chicken shawarma.

The address for this upcoming restaurant in the Financial District is: Pita Downtown, 125 Summer Street, Boston, MA, 02110.The website for the original South End Pita can be found at: http://www.southendpita.com/
