Sicilia's Pizzeria in Boston Has Closed
A pizzeria near Boston University that was known in part for its different styles of pizza has closed its doors.
A phone call placed to their Providence location indicates that Sicilia's on Commonwealth Avenue is no longer in operation, confirming a question about the place's status from someone on LinkedIn (as well as calls placed to the eatery that wouldn't go through). Sicilia's featured three types of pizza--thin crust, regular crust, and stuffed--along with calzones, sandwiches, pasta dishes, seafood, and more. It appears that their other locations in Providence and North Providence will remain open.
The address for this now-closed pizza place near BU was: Sicilia's Pizzeria, 840 Commonwealth Avenue, Boston, MA, 02215. The website for their original location in Providence is at http://www.siciliaspizzaprovidence.com/

Tried it once about ten years ago, was pretty bad.

This is really terrible news. I've been ordering from Sicilia's for almost 15 years, including on almost every return visit since I moved away 3 years ago!
