Noor Mediterranean Grill Moving into Former Broken Yolk Space in Somerville

Yesterday we reported that a breakfast spot in the Powderhouse Square section of Somerville had closed its doors. Now we have learned that a new restaurant is moving in, and it will be focusing on Mediterranean fare.

A series of notes sent to us from one of the owners of the upcoming place indicates that Noor Mediterranean Grill will be taking over the Elm Street space vacated by The Broken Yolk, with the eatery offering such dishes as shish kebab, shawarma, and falafel. If all goes as planned, it looks like Noor could be opening around the end of November.

[January 17, 2014 update: According to a post on its Facebook page, Noor Mediterranean Grill opens a week from today (Friday, January 24).]

The Broken Yolk had been in business for approximately 10 years before shutting its doors over the past few days.

The address for this new restaurant in Somerville is: Noor Mediterranean Grill, 136 College Avenue, Somerville, MA, 02144. Its website will be at http://www.noorgrill.com/
