The Metropolitan Club in Chestnut Hill Is Closing

An upscale restaurant and bar in Chestnut Hill is shutting its doors after being in business for 10 years.

The Boston Globe is reporting that The Metropolitan Club on Boylston Street is closing on June 28 after not being able to come to acceptable terms with the landlord. The article says that the dining and drinking spot will host "little surprises" over the next few weeks, with favorite dishes being brought back before it says farewell for good. Its sister restaurants--including MET locations in Boston's Back Bay, Dedham, Natick, and Nantucket--will remain open.

The Metropolitan Club offers such items as duck confit spring rolls, fried calamari, chicken under a brick, prime skirt steak, rigatoni bolognese, roasted salmon, and falafel burgers, along with a variety of cocktails.

The address for this soon-to-close restaurant and bar in Chestnut Hill is: The Metropolitan Club, 1210 Boylston Street, Brookline, MA, 02467. Its website can be found at http://metclubandbar.com/
