Boston Indian Kitchen Is Opening in the Former India Samraat Space in Boston's Back Bay

It looks like a new Indian restaurant is opening in the Back Bay of Boston, taking over the space where another Indian dining spot had been.

According to a Licensing Board page within the City of Boston website, Boston Indian Kitchen is planning to open on Mass. Ave., moving into the old India Samraat space. (Indian Samraat closed in January after being in business for nearly 25 years.) The post mentions that the manager of the upcoming restaurant is Paramjit Singh; it is possible that this could be the same person who owns Rang Indian Bistro in Stoneham, as the Bizapedia site mentions that he is based in Somerville, which is where an earlier boston.com article says he is from. As soon as we confirm this, we will post an update here.

[June 24 update: Eater Boston has indeed confirmed that Paramjit Singh of Rang Indian Bistro in Stoneham is behind Boston Indian Kitchen, as are three other people, including a co-owner of Rang, the owner of Passage to India in Cambridge's Porter Square, and the owner of Monsoon Indian Bistro in Acton.]

[January 7, 2015 update: According to a post from Eater Boston, the new Boston Indian Kitchen opens today.]

The address for this upcoming Indian restaurant in the Back Bay is: Boston Indian Kitchen, 51 Massachusetts Avenue, Boston, MA, 02115.
