According to a Twitter post from local food/drinks writer MC Slim JB, Vinh-Sun on Beach Street is shuttered, having apparently been closed by a sheriff. A few posters on the Chowhound site (including MC) mentioned its closing this week, with one stating that there are signs out front saying it may have been seized by the "Municipality of Boston." It is not yet known why the dining spot had to close and we have yet to confirm that this is definitely a permanent closure, so keep checking back for updates.
Vinh-Sun has been known in part for its Cantonese-style roasted meat dishes, with its menu including such items as roast duck and pork on rice, frog with garlic and butter, pork chops with bitter melon, crispy fried chicken, sea conch with yellow chive, and roast pork lo mein.
The address for this now-closed restaurant in Chinatown was: Vinh-Sun, 58 Beach St, Boston, MA 02111.
