Santouka May Be Coming to Boston's Financial District

A chain of Japan-based ramen shops that opened its first Boston-area location earlier this year is planning to open a second one, and this outlet may be coming to the heart of the city.

Eater Boston mentions that Santouka is looking at opening somewhere in Boston's Financial District, though it is only a "potential spot" at this point in time and no specific address has been given as of yet. If it does open, the downtown location of the eatery would join an existing one in Cambridge's Harvard Square, which opened on Bow Street in February. The article also says that the new location of Santouka may offer beer and sake, along with an expanded menu.

In addition to its Cambridge shop, Santouka also has locations in California, Hawaii, Illinois, New Jersey, and in Canada, along with a number of shops in Japan and other Asian countries. The website for the chain can be found at http://santouka.co.jp/en/
