Salvatore's Restaurants Have Been Sold; Will Be Employee-Owned

The person behind a local group of Italian restaurants has sold all of its locations, with the changeover taking place at the beginning of next month.

According to a press release, Sal Lupoli has sold the five locations of Salvatore's to a group of employees, with the restaurants officially becoming employee-owned as of November 1. In the release, Lupoli says that he decided to sell the group of dining spots because the real estate division of his business is taking on several new projects and he is also focusing more on charitable and civic commitments. (He will continue to run the Sal's pizza chain.)

Salvatore's can be found in the Seaport District, downtown Boston, Medford, Andover, and Lawrence; its website is at http://www.salvatoresrestaurants.com/
