A chain of coffee shops based in Europe continues to expand through the local area, this time coming to a suburb northwest of Boston.
The Your Arlington site is reporting (via Support Arlington Center) that Caffe Nero is opening in the old CVS space at Broadway Plaza, with a public hearing on the proposal expected on Monday, October 17. If approved, the new location of Caffe Nero would join other shops in Boston's Downtown Crossing, Fort Point, the South End, Longwood, Jamaica Plain, Andover, and Wellesley, along with upcoming stores in Brookline's Washington Square, Cambridge's Central Square, and a second location in Downtown Crossing.
The address for the proposed location of Caffe Nero in Arlington Center is 319 Broadway, Arlington, MA, 02474. The website for the chain can be found at http://www.caffenero.com/
[November 21 update: According to a new post from Your Arlington, Caffe Nero is one step closer to opening in Arlington, as the Redevelopment Board has approved of a special permit for the place. If all goes as planned, the new store could be opening toward the end of February.]
[May 5, 2017 update: The Arlington Advocate states that the new Caffe Nero in Arlington soft-opens today.]
