T.W. Food in Cambridge Is Closing; New Concept on the Way

An upscale French-American restaurant in Cambridge is shutting down, and the owners will be bringing a new concept to the space.

According to a source, T.W. Food in Cambridge is closing its doors on February 19, with the note indicating that a brand new dining spot with a new name and concept will be opening in the Walden Street space this spring. Owners Bronwyn and Tim Wiechmann are apparently not yet saying exactly what kind of restaurant the new place will be; as soon as we get more information, we will post an update here.

Bronwyn and Tim Wiechmann are also behind Bronwyn in Somerville's Union Square, as well as the now-closed Playska in Cambridge's Inman Square.

The address for T.W. Food is 377 Walden Street, Cambridge, MA, 02138.

[February 10 update: The Tables section of The Boston Globe mentions that the restaurant replacing T.W. Food will be another fine-dining spot, with this one focusing on small plates inspired by the global travels of Tim Wiechmann--and it is expected to have a full liquor license.]
