La Colombe Coffee Roasters to Open in Boston's Seaport District

A Philadelphia-based group of coffee roasters and cafes may be expanding to one of the hottest parts of Boston.

According to a Licensing Board page within the City of Boston website, La Colombe Torrefaction (which is also known as La Colombe Coffee Roasters) is planning to open on Northern Avenue in the city's Seaport District, with the space including a cafe area with seating and proposed hours of 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. If approved, this would be either the second or third location to open in Boston, as another location may be coming to W Newton Street in the Back Bay/South End area at some point. The first shop to open in the city is on Atlantic Avenue across from the South Station bus terminal and parking garage.

Currently, other locations of La Colombe can be found in the Philadelphia area along with New York, Washington, D.C., Chicago, and Los Angeles.

The address for this upcoming location of La Colombe is 29 Northern Avenue, Boston, MA, 02210. The website for all locations is at http://www.lacolombe.com/

[December 7 update: According to a press release, La Colombe opens tomorrow (Friday, December 8) in the Seaport District and that it will be offering free Draft Latte cans all day.]
