Yet another fire has ravaged the little town of Northeast Harbor, Maine. This time, the Tan Turtle Tavern and an apartment above were destroyed in a blaze that took place on Friday, January 23. According to the Bangor Daily News, the popular restaurant on Main Street was closed and going through renovations when the fire hit, and the upstairs apartment was vacant. The newspaper goes on to say that the owner of the Tan Turtle Tavern does plan to rebuild.
Last July, another fire hit Main Street in Northeast Harbor, destroying three buildings, with a restaurant and bakery called the Colonel's being a total loss.
