A beloved Middle Eastern restaurant in West Roxbury closes its doors today, but it appears that a new Middle Eastern dining spot will soon be moving in.
According to Universal Hub and Wicked Local, the owner of Samia's on Centre Street has decided to shut the restaurant and bakery down because of the physical strain of running the business. According to Wicked Local, Samia's, which has been in business since the early 1990s, will be replaced by another Middle Eastern restaurant in early June. The newspaper goes on to mention that the owner of the new restaurant also runs the highly rated Middle Eastern restaurant Shawarma King on Beacon Street in the Coolidge Corner section of Brookline.
