Sweet Sue's Cafe in Arlington Seized
A cafe and bakery just outside of Arlington center appears to have been shut down for good. Sweet Sue's Cafe, a breakfast and lunch spot located on Mass. Ave. near the Jason and Mill Street intersection, has been seized after having "For Rent" signs in the windows for awhile. The front of the cafe now has orange "Seized" signs, stating that the property has been taken over by the Middlesex Sheriff's Department Enforcement Unit. Sweet Sue's had been in Arlington for several years, serving breakfast and lunch on weekdays and brunch on weekends. They had also featured homemade pies, cakes, brownies, cookies, and other baked goods. The cafe had remained open even with the "For Rent" signs in the windows, but now it appears to be permanently closed, at least in the 795 Mass. Ave. location. It is not known at the time whether Sweet Sue's will open in a new location.
