November will see the opening of a restaurant and tavern within a new boutique hotel in downtown Boston. The dining spot--called Woodward--will open their doors at or around the time of the opening of The Ames Hotel, which will be located on Court Street near Government Center. According to the hotel Web site, Woodward will be a modern tavern featuring high-quality food using local ingredients, and handcrafted cocktails. The site goes on to say that the owner of Mistral, a highly rated restaurant on Columbus Street in the South End that features French Mediterranean cuisine, is a partner in the new restaurant.
Ames, which will be housed in an historic building a few minutes away from Faneuil Hall in the heart of Boston, looks to be a modern, elegant hotel with more than 100 rooms, a fitness center, and suites with original fireplaces and arched windows.
The address for Woodward (and Ames) will be 1 Court Street, Boston, MA, 02108. The phone number for the restaurant will be (617) 979-8200. And the Web site is at: http://www.woodwardatames.com/
Thanks to Regan Communication Group for reminding us of the upcoming opening of Woodward.
[November 18 update: According to a Boston Globe article written by Devra First, Woodward will have what looks like a soft opening on Thursday, November 19, and a grand opening to the public on Friday, November 20.]
