Mehak Opens in East Boston

A new restaurant has just opened in the Jeffries Point section of East Boston, bringing a combination of Indian and Pakistani cuisine to this mostly residential area near Piers Park and Maverick Square.

According to several sources (including a poster on Chowhound), Mehak has opened its doors on Sumner Street, just down the road from 303 Cafe and about two blocks from Piers Park. Mehak looks to focus on halal food, including a number of dishes that will be familiar to lovers of Indian cuisine. Based on the post on the Chowhound site, it sounds like prices at Mehak are very reasonable, with entrees tending to be under $10.
