It looks like a chain of high-end steakhouses is opening a new location along Boston's waterfront.
According to Mayor Thomas M. Menino, who was mentioned in a Boston Globe article on retail resurgence in Boston, Smith & Wollensky is checking out Atlantic Wharf as a place to open a new outlet of their restaurant. Currently, Smith & Wollensky has one other location in Boston, at 101 Arlington Street in an historic building that is known to many as "The Castle."
Atlantic Wharf is a mixed-use residential, retail, and office development wedged between the Rose Kennedy Greenway and Fort Point Channel by Congress Street, about a block north of South Station. The redeveloped building sits on what used to be called Russia Wharf.
[September 23, 2011 update: According to Adam's Hospitality and Tourism Industry Blog, Smith & Wollensky's is now open at Atlantic Wharf.]
