A Chinese restaurant in Stoughton that was destroyed in a fire last year is getting ready to open once again, though in a new location.
According to sources who emailed us and sent messages to our Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook page, Cheng Du is going to be reopening, possibly later this month, a short distance north of their former Stoughton Center location, in the space on Washington Street where Phatt Boys and a few other businesses used to be. In October of 2009, Cheng Du was forced to close in the center of town after a devastating fire heavily damaged the restaurant.
Cheng Du is one of a handful of Chinese restaurants featured on our Boston's Hidden Restaurants site. A review of the old Cheng Du in Stoughton Center can be found at this link:

[August 4 update: Based on a photo sent to us on the Hiddenboston Twitter page, Cheng Du is now open in its new location.]
The new address for Cheng Du is: Cheng Du, 657 Washington Street, Stoughton, MA, 02072.
