A highly-regarded Thai restaurant in the Coolidge Corner neighborhood of Brookline is getting ready to shut its doors.
According to BostonTweet, Rod Dee, which is located near the corner of Beacon Street and Summit Avenue just west of the heart of the square, will be closing as of July 13. (A picture from BostonTweet of the notice from Rod Dee can be found here: http://twitpic.com/227cab) A second location of the dining spot, which is a short distance west on Beacon Street in Washington Square, will remain open, according to the sign posted at the Coolidge corner location.
Rod Dee, which has been in business for about 15 years in Coolidge Corner, has been known as a place to get authentic Thai cuisine at reasonable prices. It is a tiny spot that concentrates mainly on takeout orders.
The address for the soon-to-close Rod Dee in Coolidge corner is 1430 Beacon Street, while the address for the Washington Square location is 1671 Beacon Street.
