A casual American restaurant in the Lower Falls section of Wellesley is currently looking for investors, and it is possible that the dining spot may end up being sold.
According to an article in The Swellesley Report, Bobby's Grille on Route 16 near the Newton border has had one of their investors pull out of the restaurant, and it is in need of another investor/working partner. Based on a listing on the Boston Restaurant Group website, it appears that the selling of Bobby's Grille is a possibility as well, though the owner implies in the Swellesley Report article that his hope is to find an investor instead.
[December 10 update: Based on reports from both The Swellesley Report and The Wellesley Patch, it looked like Bobby's Grille may have shut its doors for good, as there are "Restaurant Space Available" signs on the front windows and a "Closed" sign on the front door.]
[December 13 update: An article in Wellesley Townsman and Wicked Local has confirmed that Bobby's Grille is indeed no longer in business.]
Bobby's Grille first opened its doors last fall, featuring such classic and modern American fare as shrimp cocktail, lobster bisque, chicken pot pie, macaroni and cheese, pork tenderloin, and filet mignon.
The address for this restaurant in the Lower Falls section of Wellesley is: Bobby's Grille, 11 Washington Street, Wellesley Hills, MA, 02481. The phone number is (781) 235-2345.
