Naked Pizza Opening in Brookline's Coolidge Corner

It looks like a New Orleans-based pizza place that is getting ready to expand nationwide will be opening in Brookline, making this one of at least two locations coming to the Boston area.

According to The Brookline TAB/Wicked Local and Grub Street Boston, Naked Pizza is planning to open in Coolidge Corner, moving into the Beacon Street space where Quiznos sub shop used to be. It was recently announced that another Naked Pizza will be opening nearby, on Washington Street in Brighton Center, and one location had also been planned for Commonwealth Avenue at the Boston University campus, but that appears to have fallen through.

Naked Pizza, which has the financial backing of Robert Kraft of The Kraft Group of Boston, focuses on healthy pies that have no preservatives, trans fats, or added sugar. Three locations are open at the present time--in New Orleans, Miami Beach, and Louisville, KY--with more locations being awarded in various sections of the country.

[March 7, 2011, update: According to the Naked Pizza Facebook page, the new Brookline location opens today.]

The address for this new pizza place in Brookline is: Naked Pizza, 1331 Beacon Street, Brookline, MA, 02446. The website for the company is: http://nakedpizza.biz/
