A microbrewery that is based in Maine continues to expand into the Boston area, with a new restaurant and bar opening a short distance north of the city.
According to the Daily Times Chronicle, the Sea Dog Pub is going to be moving into the space in Woburn where Nickel's Grille had been until August of this year (T.G.I. Friday's had been in the Mishawum Road spot before Nickel's Grille). Once it opens, it will be the second Sea Dog Pub in the Boston area, as one opened at the Sunset Marina in Hull in June. Other locations of the Sea Dog Pub are in Bangor, Topsham, and South Portland, ME.
The Sea Dog Pub features classic American food as well as handcrafted ales made in Maine. Some of the menu items include chicken wings, chili, fried clams, crab-stuffed haddock, New York sirloin, pulled pork sliders, and burgers. A few of the Sea Dog beers include a wheat ale, a hazelnut porter, a pale ale, and a stout.
