A local seafood spot in South Boston that first opened more than 80 years ago has closed.
According to The Boston Herald, Kelly's Landing on L Street shut its doors over the weekend, as the owner has decided to retire. Kelly's Landing first opened on the South Boston waterfront in 1927, remaining in its location in the City Point section of the neighborhood until 1974. It reopened in 2004 on nearby L Street (and was renamed The Original Kelly's Landing), featuring such items as clam chowder, fried seafood, chicken wings, burgers, steak tips, chicken parmigiana, and pot roast.
The address for this now-closed South Boston dining spot was: The Original Kelly's Landing, 81 L Street, South Boston, MA, 02127.
