Aegean Express May Be Coming to Brookline

A Greek restaurant with locations in Watertown and Framingham may be opening a third spot in a mostly residential section of Brookline.

According to The Brookline TAB and Wicked Local, the Aegean is looking to open a small outlet of their restaurant on Beacon Street where La Nails & Spa used to be (between Washington Square and Cleveland Circle). The article states that if all goes as planned, the new eatery (called the Aegean Express) will have 16 seats and may serve alcohol, depending on whether a liquor license is given to the restaurant. The Brookline Planning Board will be reviewing the restaurant proposal today, with the Zoning Board of Appeals reviewing it early next month.

The Aegean Restaurant, which currently has locations on Arsenal Street in Watertown and Route 30 in Framingham, is a family-friendly dining spot that features a mix of Greek-American and traditional Greek fare. Items on the menus at the two restaurants include chicken egg lemon soup, spinach pie, stuffed grape leaves, grilled octopus, beef souvlaki, lamb kabob, pork chops, and mousaka.

If plans for the restaurant are approved, the address will be: Aegean Express, 1784 Beacon Street, Brookline, MA, 02445.
