Update: Bugaboo Creek Closes Six Locations in the Boston Area, Files for Bankruptcy

[Ed note: This article was updated on November 23.]

It looks like a chain of steakhouses has closed several of its locations in the Boston area, and the chain has simultaneously filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

According to a press release on the CB Holding Corp. website, Bugaboo Creek has shut down restaurants in six Boston-area communities, including Brockton, Burlington, Dedham, Framingham, Peabody, and Watertown. Other Eastern Massachusetts locations closing include Plymouth, Shrewsbury, and Seekonk. The CBS Boston site states that the restaurant chain, which is one of three run by CB Holding Corp. (Charlie Brown's Steakhouse and The Office Beer Bar & Grill being the other two) now has only three remaining locations in Eastern Massachusetts, including one in the Boston area (Braintree) as well as locations in Methuen and Milford. A report also came out on ABC News that CB Holding Corp. has filed for bankruptcy, though this appears to be a voluntary reorganization with the remaining restaurants staying open, at least for now.
