[Ed Note, December 28: This article has been edited to reflect the correct name of this restaurant. It will be called Forum, not 4th on Boylston, as we had originally called it. Changes are reflected in the text below.]
It looks like a new restaurant is coming to the Back Bay of Boston, and it will apparently be moving into the space where a trendy restaurant and bar has been.
According to EveryBlock Boston, a business license has been issued for Forum (not 4th on Boylston, as it had been called on that site), which is planning to open in the Vox Populi space. As reported earlier this fall, Vox Populi is closing its doors sometime around the end of 2010 after being in business for about a decade [December 28 update: Vox Populi is now closed]. It was also reported here that Boston Nightlife Ventures, Inc., which is behind behind Noche in the South End, The Tap in Faneuil Hall, and The Federal in Beacon Hill, is behind Forum.
An email from the owner and president of Boston Nightlife Ventures indicates that the new restaurant will focus on eclectic American fare, with a kind of sports gastropub on the first floor, and more of a fine-dining area on the second floor.
[July 11, 2011 update: According to CBH Communications, Forum is opening on Wednesday (July 13).]
The address for this new restaurant in the Back Bay is: Forum, 755 Boylston Street, Boston, MA, 02116.
