A popular neighborhood breakfast and lunch spot in South Boston is getting ready to close, and another dining spot may be moving into the space.
According to a poster on the Chowhound site, Terrie's Place on E Broadway will be closing at the end of the month, with a sushi place apparently moving into the spot. A phone call placed to Terrie's Place has confirmed that the eatery will be closing its doors for good on December 29, though we are still trying to find out for sure whether a sushi restaurant is indeed moving in.
[January 3, 2010 update: A Twitter note to us from Boston Herald beat reporter Ian R. Rapoport has confirmed that Terrie's Place in South Boston is now closed.]
Terrie's Place has been known mostly as a place where locals go for breakfast at reasonable prices. The menu features muffins, coffee cake, corned beef hash, eggs benedict, omelets, waffles, pancakes, and French toast, as well as sandwiches for both breakfast and lunch.
The address for this restaurant in South Boston was: Terrie's Place, 676 E Broadway, South Boston, MA, 02127.
