Veggie Galaxy Is Coming to Cambridge's Central Square

A new diner is on the way to Central Square in Cambridge, and it looks like it will be featuring vegetarian and vegan fare.

According to The Boston Herald, the new eatery, which will be called Veggie Galaxy, will open on Mass. Ave. in this bustling neighborhood in 2011, with a summer opening being possible. The article states that the diner will feature comfort food items such as pancakes, omelets, "meatloaf" made of tempeh, veggie burgers, and vegan milkshakes.

The Herald mentions that the new diner is being opened by the owner of Veggie Planer, a vegetarian and vegan restaurant within Club Passim on Palmer Street in Cambridge's Harvard Square that features pizza as well as soups, salads, appetizers, and desserts.

The address for this 90-seat diner in Central Square will be: Veggie Galaxy, 450 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge, MA 02139.

[August 30, 2011 update: It still looks like the grand opening for Veggie Galaxy will be next week, but according to UrbanDaddy, the restaurant will be having a soft opening for the public this Thursday (September 1).]
