Approximately nine months after a pizzeria in Melrose closed due to the death of its owner, it has been announced that the eatery will be reopening, thanks to the owner's cousins.
According to The Melrose Free Press and Wicked Local, Caruso's Pizzeria on Main Street is planning to open once again this spring, with three nephews of the owner being behind the reopening. The article states that the owner's nephews are active among the Boston-area restaurant scene, with one nephew owning Angelo's Restaurant in Stoneham, another running Celebrity Pizza in Watertown, and still another owning Morena's Cucina Rustica in Wakefield. The decades-old Caruso's, which had been closed since the owner passed away in May of 2010, will remain mostly unchanged with only minor updates, according to the article.
The address for this soon-to-reopen eatery in Melrose is: Caruso's Pizzeria, 685 Main Street, Melrose, MA, 02176.
