Taza to Donate 50% of Retail Sales to Red Cross Japan Relief Effort Through March 31

A chocolate factory in Somerville is going to be helping the Red Cross Japan relief effort in a big way over the next several days.

According to their website, Taza Chocolate Factory is going to donate 50% of their retail sales from both their web store and their factory store to the Red Cross from now through Thursday, March 31. The note on their site mentions that on April 1, they will post the total donation amounts on their blog as well as their Twitter and Facebook pages.

Taza Chocolate Factory, which started out in 2006, is known in part for their stone-ground, organic chocolate discs that include such flavors as cinnamon, coffee, guajillo chili, salt and pepper, salted almond, and vanilla bean. Their factory is located on Windsor Street (between Union Street in Somerville and Inman Square in Cambridge), and their website can be found at http://www.tazachocolate.com/
