It looks like a popular beer bar in the Allston neighborhood of Boston is planning to open a taco bar next door, and it will be featuring house-made tacos as well as tequila drinks.
According to Universal Hub (via Krefetz Law Firm LLC), Deep Ellum on Cambridge Street has gained support of the Allston Civic Association to use the adjacent storefront (where El Cafetal used to be) for a new spot called the Lone Star Taco Bar. As both Universal Hub and Grub Street Boston say, the Boston Licensing Board still has give its approval before this is written in stone, so keep checking back for updates over the coming days and weeks. [July 1 update: According to Universal Hub, the board has given its approval for Deep Ellum to open the Lone Star Taco Bar.
