It looks like a Pakistani and Indian restaurant in Allston has shut its doors.
According to posters on both Yelp and Chowhound, Grain and Salt on Cambridge Street is now closed. A few weeks ago, one of our Facebook "spotters" who gives us information for our Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook page mentioned that the restaurant was going to be shutting down, though an exact closing date was apparently not known at the time.
Grain and Salt was a tiny two-room spot that first opened in the latter part of 2006, moving into the space where the Vietnamese restaurant Saigon had been. The eatery featured mainly Pakistani cuisine, with a number of Indian dishes as well (including some Indo-Chinese fare).
