A new craft brewery has just opened west of Boston, and it will focus on the brewing of lagers.
According to The MetroWest Daily News, Jack's Abby Brewing is now open in Framingham, a few months after signing a lease for warehouse space on Morton Street (one block south of Route 135, just east of the downtown area). The article mentions that three brothers are behind the brewery, with one of the brothers coming from the Boston Beer Works near Boston's North Station, where he was the brewer. The space includes a tasting room and a store, with growlers available for $9 (plus deposit), according to The MetroWest Daily News. Beers available right now at Jack's Abby include a pilsner, an India Pale Lager, a dark black beer, and a Bavarian dark lager.
In addition to the store at the brewery, Jack's Abby beers can also be found at a few local spots, including British Beer Co. in Framingham and Noon Hill Grill in Medfield.
The address for this new brewery in Framingham is: Jack's Abby Brewing, 81 Morton Street, Framingham, MA, 01702. The website can be found at http://jacksabbybrewing.com/
