Panera Opens in Cambridge's Porter Square

Less than two months after a chain of bakery-cafes opened a flagship location in Boston's Back Bay, a new location comes to Cambridge today, and it will actually be the first one to open in that city.

According to The Boston Globe, Panera Bread is opening on White Street in Porter Square (in the space where Qdoba used to be). The article states that in addition to being the first Panera in Cambridge, it is also the 40th location in the Boston area. The restaurant will be open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily, with hours being 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM Monday through Saturday, and 6:30 AM to 9:30 PM on Sundays.

In late May, Panera opened a flagship outlet on Boylston Street in the Back Bay, complete with a heated patio, seasonal items, and bread coming from their Franklin facility.

The address for this new bakery-cafe in Porter Square will be: Panera Bread, 5 White Street, Cambridge, MA, 02140. The website for the chain can be found at http://www.panerabread.com/
