Boulevard and Baxter Brewing Companies to Sell Their Beer in the Boston Area

It looks like a Missouri brewery and a Maine brewery will soon have something in common; they are both going to be selling their beer in the Boston area.

According to The Kansas City Star and beernews.org, Boulevard Brewing Co. in Kansas City and Baxter Brewing Co. in Lewiston will be selling their products in and around Boston very shortly. The Kansas City Star article mentions that Boulevard's Smokestack Series will start being sold in Boston in September, while beernews.org states that Baxter's beers will be seen soon in the Boston area and the North Shore (Craft Beer Cellar in Belmont actually says that Baxter beers will be available starting tomorrow).

[September 21 update: Based on a post within the BeerAdvocate site, the Smokestack Series of beers from Boulevard Brewing Co. are now available in the Boston area.]

Boulevard, which started out in 1989, is the largest specialty brewer in the Midwest with distribution in 19 states, while Baxter, which opened just last year, is known in part for canning all of their beers.
