Sea Dog Steak and Ale Is Opening in Northborough

A Maine-based microbrewery that has two pubs in the Boston area is going to be opening a new spot in the MetroWest region, and this one will edge more toward fine dining.

An email sent to us by Altus Marketing and Management indicates that the Sea Dog Brewing Company is planning to open a restaurant on Route 20 in Northborough called Sea Dog Steak & Ale, which will take the coastally-inspired menu of the Sea Dog Pub locations in Hull and Woburn and make it into more of a refined, seasonally-inspired menu with steaks and chops offered. In addition, the new restaurant will offer an extensive wine list and cocktails in addition to their micro brews. Some of the menu items at Sea Dog Steak & Ale will include crab-stuffed haddock, veal chops, ribeye steak, filet mignon, and New York strip.

Sea Dog Steak & Ale plans to open on Wednesday, August 24. [August 24 update: The Boston Globe has confirmed that Sea Dog Steak & Ale opens today.]

The address for this new restaurant is: Sea Dog Steak & Ale, 318 Main Street (Route 20), Northborough, MA, 01532. The website for Sea Dog Brewing Company is: http://www.seadogbrewing.com/
