Miller's Ale House to Open in Watertown

A Florida-based chain of casual-dining restaurants and sports bars is getting ready to open its first location in New England, and it will be moving into a Watertown space that was formerly the site of another chain.

According to a job post on the Craigslist site, Miller's Ale House will be opening on Arsenal Street, taking over the old Bugaboo Creek spot (the Watertown location of Bugaboo Creek closed in November of 2010 when the chain filed for bankruptcy). Once it opens--apparently sometime before the end of the year--the new restaurant will feature a variety of steak, seafood, and pasta dishes, along with soups, salads, sandwiches, and wings. Beer, wine, and mixed drinks will also be available at Miller's Ale House, and the restaurant will likely have a number of HD screens around the bar as well as in the dining area.

Miller's Ale House first opened in Jupiter, FL, in 1988, and today has approximately 50 locations, most of which are in Florida (outlets can also be found in Georgia, Illinois, New York, and Pennsylvania).

[December 9 update: According to the Watertown Patch, the new Miller's Ale House in Watertown is planning to open on Tuesday, December 20.]

The address for this upcoming restaurant in Watertown will be: Miller's Ale House, 617 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA, 02472. The website for the chain is at http://www.millersalehouse.com/
