Georgetown Cupcake Is Coming to Boston's Back Bay

A gourmet cupcake shop with two locations in the Washington, DC, area is going to be opening two more branches--and one will be in the heart of Boston's Back Bay.

According to Eater Boston, Georgetown Cupcake is planning to open on Newbury Street in the spring of 2012, moving into a space between the Berkeley Street and Clarendon Street intersections. The cupcake shop's website also mentions that another location will open on Mercer Street in the SoHo section of Manhattan in "Winter 2011," joining the first two locations which are in the Georgetown section of Washington and Bethesda, MD.
