Pinky's Deli to Open Within Local 149 in South Boston

Last week we reported on a restaurant opening within another restaurant (an unnamed spot opening inside the upcoming Moksa in Cambridge), and now it looks like another dining spot will be doing something similar, with this one being located in South Boston.

According to Goldstein Pierce, Local 149 on P Street in the City Point section of Southie will be introducing a sandwich spot called Pinky's Deli, which will open for lunch within the Local 149 space starting this Thursday (December 8). The press release supplied by Goldstein Pierce indicates that Pinky's Deli will offer "premium deli selections" including pink peppercorn smoked turkey with havarti, bourbon bacon and malt vinegar aioli; duck club with house cured duck prosciutto and tart cherry bbq sauce; salty pig with Patrick's ham, soppressata, prosciutto, picked vegetables and cured tomato; and a hot pastrami on pumpernickel with mustard. Also available will be salads, tuna burgers, hot dogs, spicy pimento cheese fries, handcrafted "pot of pickles," and tater tots. Local 149's craft beer options will be featured at Pinky's Deli as well.

Local 149 first opened in March of this year, replacing a local Irish pub and restaurant called The Farragut House. The restaurant focuses mainly on upscale comfort food.

The address for Pinky's (and Local 149) is 149 P Street, South Boston, MA 02127. The website for Local 149 can be found at http://www.local149.com/
