It looks like a restaurant on the Somerville/Cambridge line has closed after being in business for a little more than a year.
According to a poster on the Chowhound site, Great Taste Diner on Beacon street in Somerville has closed, as its signs have been taken down and the exterior of the place is being repainted. Calls placed to the restaurant are not going through, and the online ordering function within their website does not appear to be working anymore.
Great Taste Diner first opened in December of 2010, featuring classic American fare along with some Peruvian-influenced dishes. The restaurant had taken over Danny's Diner, which had a similar menu to Great Taste Diner.
It is not yet known whether a new restaurant is going into the space, and if so, whether the folks behind Great Taste Diner will be behind it. As soon as we find out more information, we will post an update here.
