Nguyen's Vietnamese Cuisine and Sushi Bar Is Coming to Swampscott

A Vietnamese restaurant and sushi bar is on its way to the North Shore, though it doesn't look like it will open for another year or so.

According to The Swampscott Patch, Nguyen's Vietnamese Cuisine and Sushi Bar is coming to Humphrey Street (Route 129) in Swampscott, moving into a space on the eastern edge of the town center and a few blocks east of the Lynn border. The article mentions that the owner also runs Maki's Sushi Bar in Peabody with his brother, and he currently works a day job at 114 BMW in that community.

The menu at Nguyen's Vietnamese Cuisine and Sushi Bar will feature a number of traditional Vietnamese dishes, including pho, which is a traditional Vietnamese soup, and a variety of vegetarian options will also be offered as well. Once the building is renovated and the restaurant opens (possibly in January, 2013), it will have both indoor and seasonal outdoor seating, with a capacity of up to 75.

[August 22, 2013 update: According to a Facebook post from North Shore Dish, a sign permit has been granted for Nguyen's Vietnamese Cuisine and Sushi Bar, and a check on the restaurant's Facebook page indicates that progress is being made in its construction, though there is no specific opening date for the place as of yet.]

The address for this upcoming dining spot in Swampscott will be: Nguyen's Vietnamese Cuisine and Sushi Bar, 286 Humphrey Street, Swampscott, MA, 01907. Its Facebook page can be found at https://www.facebook.com/NVCSB
