A neighborhood restaurant and bar in Watertown that has been in business for more than 60 years may not be around much longer, as it is temporarily closing for health code violations--and the owner is looking to sell the business.
According to the Watertown TAB and Wicked Local, the Orchard Park Grill on Waverley Avenue is being closed by the Board of Health starting Tuesday, February 28, and it will stay closed through Thursday, March 1. The article also mentions that the person behind the eating and drinking establishment has "had enough," not being able to pay the electricity bill and being brought before the Licensing Board due to failure to show proof of workers compensation insurance. The owner is now looking to sell the business, which he purchased in 2005 (a Watertown Patch page states that the spot has been in existence since 1950).
The Orchard Park Grill has had several health code violations over the past few years, with the first hearing taking place in early 2006.
The address for this restaurant and bar in Watertown is: Orchard Park Grill, 208 Waverley Avenue, Watertown, MA, 02472.
