In the email, the New American eatery on Mass. Ave. stated that "You asked for it and Flora listened! After many guest requests and town meetings Flora's Drive-Thru Window is now open for business! And it's 24 Hours!" The message goes on to say that patrons could "get Chef Bob Sargent's Famous Flora Chicken with Dates and Olives, Daube of Beef with Mashed Potatoes or even the Flora Burger and Duck Quesadillas any time you like without even leaving your car!" The email then finishes up with their new slogan: "Flora Food – Fast When You Need It!"
Flora's April Fool's Day joke was made just a bit more realistic by the fact that it happens to be located in an old bank building.
