Chez Henri in Cambridge Sold to Green Street Owner; Will Have New Name

A French-Cuban restaurant in Cambridge that is known in part for a particular sandwich has been sold, and it will soon have a new name along with other changes.

Eater Boston is reporting (via The Improper Bostonian--no link to their story yet) that Chez Henri has been purchased by Dylan Black of Green Street in the city's Central Square area. According to EB, a new name will be given to the Shepard Street eatery, with Green Street executive chef Greg Reeves keeping the Latin influences in place, though there will be more emphasis on steak dishes as well. It is not yet known whether the restaurant's signature dish--its Cuban sandwich--will remain on the menu.

It appears that Chez Henri (which was first opened by Paul O'Connell nearly 20 years ago) will switch over sometime in the middle of the summer.

Chez Henri is located at 1 Shepard Street, which is just off Mass. Ave. between Porter Square and Harvard Square.
